Frances Ambery (Mc Guinness) passed away on February 25, 2024, peacefully with her beloved husband James and her children at her side after a brief illness.
She was 90 years young. Her family is deeply saddened by her passing .
Born May 15, 1933 to Frank and Madeline McGinness , Fran lived her young life in Elmhurst, NY with her sister Madeline Haussner (who proceeded her in death), with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends nearby, not to mention her beloved dog Skippy.
Fran graduated from Newton High School and went to finishing school. She worked at Long Island Savings Bank as a secretary. where she met the love of her life, her husband of 62 years James.
They made a life for themselves in Little Neck, NY on 247th street, where they raised their children Jim, Tom, Madlyn and Mike. She witnessed weddings and welcomed Carolyn, Chris Ann and Joe into the family.
She was fortunate to be a grandmother to Peter and Caroline, Nick and Kira, Gabby and Matt, Teresa, James, Mary, Kayla, Olivia, Ryan, Sophia and Emily and a great grandmother to Lilly and Charlotte.
She was lucky to have so many nephews and nieces in her life that she loved deeply.
Frances had many friends and was a beautiful person inside and out. Her smile was so stunning it would light up the whole room. She cared so deeply for the people around her. She was so kind and passionate. Known for her sense of humor, and making the best out of life, she made an impact on so many lives. She will be forever missed and always in our hearts.
